Daylight Savings ended November 1st...

  • Prepare or update a disaster/emergency/pandemic supply (canned food, water bottles, warm blankets, etc), and first aid kit for your house.
  • Prepare and/or update a disaster/emergency kit for your car. You will need to check to make sure you have weather appropriate items.
  • Check and replace the batteries in your smoke alarms
  • Check and replace the batteries in your carbon monoxide (CO) alarms
  • Replace any smoke alarms older than ten years.
  • Replace any CO alarms older than five years.
  • Replace conventional light bulbs with energy efficient light bulbs.
  • Prepare or review your family Emergency/Evacuation Plan.
  • Check storage areas for hazardous materials and discard properly.
  • Check and discard expired medications.
